No Country For Old Men

I just watched No Country For Old Men last week and quite honestly I don't see what the big deal is. Everyone is talking about it and praising it as a simply amazing movie and it just isn't. Sure, it's a GOOD movie but there is nothing special about it really. It isn't really that different from other action movies, at least in my opinion.

It's not an action movie. It's more of a western drama than anything. It's got high praise because it's a great adaptation of the story, and has been able to tie in many of the stylistic elements of the classic western such as "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" while maintaining a quality story-line. The character development starts almost right away as the connections are built between the main character and the two supporting actors. And, an ironic ending. What more do you want?
